My mom was diagnosed with ALS in 2014. She was a fierce, relentless, quick-witted woman, whose qualities I see in my daughter. Over the years she battled the disease, her skin became dry and thin. I wanted to create something that moisturized without clogging her pores, that allowed my hands to roll over her muscles gently, and to share a part of the forest that she lived in 30 years ago. On my last visit, before she passed, I soothed her skin with the first batch of this Maile Balm. For Gigi <3 July 1962-February 2025

Made with our forest-grown maile kaluhea and fair-trade, single-source, organic shea butter, Maile Balm hydrates skin and hair, smooths over flyaways, soothes hands, and strengthens nails.
